Board Design

Shape

Board shape influences how a snowboard responds, turns and performs across different riding styles and terrain. Freesport offers different shape options to support your product concept.

01 / SHAPE

Twin

Perfectly symmetrical for a balanced ride that’s equally versatile when ridden regular or switch, jib, spin and stomp. A balanced choice for freestyle mobility and stability.

02 / SHAPE

Directional

The classic snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail. This concentrates pop in the tail while providing float, flow and control across different terrain and conditions.

Board Performance

Profiles

Snowboard profile affects edge hold, turn initiation, float and overall riding characteristics. Freesport supports multiple profile configurations for different performance requirements.

Camber snowboard profile

Camber

The traditional snowboard profile. Camber offers precise turn initiation, strong edge hold and powerful response on groomed terrain and harder snow.

Flat Camber snowboard profile

Flat Camber

A flat profile provides easy transitions, with better edge grip than rocker and greater maneuverability than traditional camber.

Flat Camber with Convex Base snowboard profile

Flat Camber with Convex Base

A neutral profile that distributes pressure across the snow and creates a less aggressive, catch-free ride.

Rocker snowboard profile

Rocker

Also called reverse camber. Rocker provides excellent float in soft snow and easier turn initiation with less chance of catching an edge.

Hybrid snowboard profile

Hybrid

A combination of tip rocker, tail rocker and camber between the bindings. Rockered tips improve float and maneuverability, while camber underfoot provides edge hold, response and stability.

Material Technology

Choose the Materials Behind the Ride

Material selection plays an important role in the weight, durability, stiffness, response and overall riding characteristics of a snowboard.

Topsheet

Surface materials designed for appearance, durability and product differentiation.

Standard Top Sheet

Highly transparent, UV-stabilised ABS/TPU top sheet available in gloss or matt finishes.

Structured Top Sheet

A structured surface pattern improves wear resistance while creating a more dimensional graphic appearance.

Wood Veneer

Real wood veneer top sheet for a distinctive and natural product look.

Core

The core is fundamental to the board's strength, weight and response.

Wood Core

Eco-friendly wood cores with selected wood densities positioned in specific areas to provide pop, strength and reduced weight.

Isocore

A high-density material designed to provide outstanding strength and toughness while helping absorb landing impact and convert it into riding power.

Base

Base material affects speed, durability, maintenance and graphic possibilities.

Sintered Base

A fast, durable and highly wax-absorbent base material.

Extruded Base

A practical combination of speed, strength and graphical flexibility with relatively low maintenance.

Sidewall

Sidewall construction contributes to torsional stiffness, edge grip and impact durability.

ABS

Freesport uses ABS sidewall construction to support torsional stiffness, edge grip and durability against impact.

Fiberglass

Fiber selection and lamination influence strength, stiffness, response and ride feel.

Fiberglass

Multi-axis and stitched fiberglass lamination provides a precise and responsive ride.

Basalt Fiber

Basalt fiber offers strong physicomechanical properties and is a more environmentally friendly alternative to conventional fiberglass.

Hybrid Weaving Fiber

Carbon fiber woven into fiberglass to provide additional strength and stiffness.

Performance Reinforcement

Carbon

Carbon stringers provide additional dampening, stiffness and torsional rigidity. Different carbon layouts can be selected according to the desired performance characteristics.

Board Construction

Every Layer Has a Purpose

A snowboard is built from multiple layers, each contributing to the final performance, durability and riding characteristics of the finished board.
